| | Sunday, August 08, 2010 | | The Humane Society of Tulsa is giving back to our neighbors in need. HST will is offering a Pet Food Pantry once a month to people hurt by our economic downturn. HST has seen numerous people have to give up their pets due to financial circumstances and we want to do whatever we can to make sure that doesn't happen to anyone else. This program is designed to offer temporary assistance to people who need help getting back on their feet, and is not a long-term solution.
Pet Pantry Program
*Temporary food assistance for people with financial need
*3 pet limit per house hold
*Must provide proof that your pets are spayed/neutered
*6 month assistance maximum
This program relies on the donations and support of our community. You can help by:
-Collecting and donating pet food.
-Asking your company or favorite store if you can put in a collection bin for food or donation bank for money. HST can provide these to you.
-Volunteering your time to help distribute food on the second Sunday of every month.
